Q: What is a myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger?
A: myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger is the world´s first Water Charger. It is a 2-in-1 solution that is both a fuel cell and a portable battery pack used by people who spend time away from the electricity grid. myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger provides instant power anywhere to electronic equipment for all devices that can be charged via USB.
Q: What devices can I charge with my myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger?
A: Any device that can be charged via an USB port, i.e. 5V DC output. However, some devices can be powered via USB but are not truly usb-compatible. If such a device should require more power than the myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger rated output, charging is not possible.
Q: Am I totally independent from the power grid?
A: Yes, but to operate, hydrogen must be supplied to the fuel cell, and the fuel cell must be exposed to the open air. The fuel cell inside myFC Powertrekk Charger silently converts hydrogen into electricity via the Proton Exchange Membrane in the Fuel Cell.
Q: Can I use my myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger without a myFC Puck?
A: Yes, the myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger is equipped with a 1500 mAh internal rechargeable battery for energy storage. You can charge your device with power from the Internal Battery only. You can also charge the Internal Battery via the Fuel Cell or from a usb energy source such as a PC computer or directly from the wall.
Q: When will the myFC Powertrekk Fuel Cell Charger be available in retail?
A: Sales start in Europe, US and Asia in Q1 2013. Information on retailers near you will be disclosed on our website at the launch.
